In 2005-2007 I became a part of Mascalzone Latino Capitalia as a challenger for the 32nd America's Cup. Moving to Valencia for two years and living as a professional sailor has been one of the most memorial experiences in my life. I enjoyed being a part of the team and the daily routines as physical exercise, design & development processes and the many hours training on the water. Looking back it was a fantastic time, but I'm sure I have already forgot the long working hours, disappointments and failures that goes with such a long campaign. I joined Mascalzone Latino as a part of the afterguard and as an expert in the matchracing. Myself and Jes Gram-Hansen was giving a huge opportunity to execute the prestart of the race and handed over the tactics and helming to the Italian Vasco Vascotto and Flavio Favini. First time on the AC yacht I thought it was impossible to race the heavy and long yachts but after some time it was exactly same game as sailing the smaller boats on the World Matchracing Tour. I am keen to be a part of a professional America's Cup team again and are just waiting for the right opportunity after the last few years of disappointing disputes in the legal rights in the America's Cup. More information: www.americascup.com www.mascalzonelatino.it
