Today the project Extreme Challenger was lauched at the Boat Show in Fredericia. Unfortunately I could not be present due to racing in Antigua, but follow the project on www.extremechallenger.dk and Facebook

Antigua – Start of RORC Caribbean 600 Race
It was a beautiful day on the water off Antigua today, but not for the Genuine Risk crew. While warming up upwind under reefed main and #3 jib we came through one of the classic Caribbean swells and heard a crack from the vang gooseneck. Upon inspection discovered some hairline cracks, and did a lashing repair. This held for us into our starting sequence, but while coming up the upper gooseneck fitting exploded, shearing the gooseneck pin as well.
Again this year I will join the irish 80 foot Whisper as tactician. The 22 crew members on board is a great mix of professional and amateurs - always with high spirits. I look forward to sail some of the most prestigious maxi regattas with the team. We start off in April at the Hublot Palma Vela and end the season with Rolex Mini Maxi regatta and Les Voiles de St tropez in October. (read more..)
Looking back on the sailing season 2010 it was a year with a lot of second place finishes. Out of the 17 events I came second in 8 of them! Fortunately it was also a year with two titles - winning the 6-meter European championship and the Rolex Swan 45 worlds championship. All in all 11 podium finishes out of 17 regattas. (read more..)
The stage is all set for a fitting finale to the eighth stage of the 2010 World Match Racing Tour, with Ben Ainslie (GBR) TEAMORIGIN and Jesper Radich (DEN) Gaastra Racing Team (with crew member Rasmus Kostner.red) set to go head-to-head in a repeat of the final of the Stena Match Cup Sweden earlier in the 2010 World Match Racing Tour.
Both skippers stormed to victory in their first two semi-final matches, leaving Eric Monnin (SUI) Swiss Match Racing Team and Johnie Berntsson (SWE) Berntsson Sailing Team with an immediate battle to survive the first to three points knock-out round.
The young surfing talent Christian Rindom received Friday the 1.000$ price at the Sailing Academy Aarhus for the best 5-year program. The price giving was the end of an intense course in program management.
Søren Holm Jensen a former general manager of one of the best consultancy companies in Denmark was a guest teacher and inspired the young sailors to set ambitious goals, make a plan and realize it.
Just returned from the 33rd America's Cup in Valencia. Great to be back in Valencia and see all the well-known faces from the last Cup in 2007. Of course it was frustrating not to be a part of the competition, but at least it is was far more interesting than following the decisions from Supreme Court in New York.
With low temperatures and ice covering the harbour - you might think sailors just relax in the winter. Think again.
The limited practice time on the water only gives us an opportunity to focus on other important elements such as physical training. Last month the total weight I lifted in the gym was 69305 Kg.
Rasmus Køstner look back on 2009 as a year of crisis and comeback in the Volvo Ocean Race In Port Races, World Match Racing Tour and distance races. Overall the season counted 22 regattas with 5 victories (Without the share of owner-driven races the numbers were 13 regattas with 4 victories). Moreover, it was a year with focus on the start-up of two new projects, Sailing Academy Aarhus and Match Racing Aarhus. (Dansk version)
Trifork Racing Team with helmsman Jes Gram-Hansen and tactician Rasmus Kostner won the Danish National Match Race Championship held in Middelfart Match Race Center. The rest of the crew was longtime sailing companions Christian kamp, Jann Nedergaard and Michael Arnhild. The team sailed a strong serie only loosing one race during the event and won the final 2-0 against Rasmus Viltoft.
Having had one year out from match racing and the World Match Racing Tour, local hero Jes Gram-Hansen/Rasmus Kostner was not top of the list of favourites going into this week’s Danish Open, organised by the Royal Danish Yacht Club. However match racing for Gram-Hansen/Kostner seems to be like riding a bike, especially when it is in the DS37s he started racing intensively during his match race training as a youth back in the mid-1990s, and better still when he is racing these familiar boats in his home waters off Aarhus.
Just got off the water after a full week of Match Race practice with Sailing Academy Aarhus. We had windy conditions and full-on practice sessions in the J-80 boats from Matchracing Aarhus. There has been a great improvement for most of the sailors, but there is still some way to go before the studens beat there teachter!! Anyway a good to see all the smiling faces and people starting to sweat because of the intesity in matchracing. Yes! We do sail in the winter in Denmark!

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.
Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser.
The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
